Employee Packages FAQ

If your tracking number indicates your package has been delivered, it most likely means it has been transferred to UT Mail Services for processing. Visit UT Mail Services tracking system to track the delivery status of your package.

We honor the carrier’s standards; therefore, most packages are delivered the same day we receive them. All express packages will be delivered within the carrier’s promised time frame.

We deliver/pickup from each designated department stop at least twice per day, Monday through Friday. If you have a special request, contact UT Mail Services at 865-974-6462.

Departments should process outbound packages with the preferred carrier via an online account. Once you have attached the shipping label, place it at the designated pickup location for UT Mail Services and it will be collected on the next scheduled visit. Effective January 6, 2020, FedEx, UPS, and USPS will no longer deliver or pick up at individual departments.

The campus’s unique zip code is 37996, which all departments should be assigned as part of their address. There are a few exceptions, which will be converted soon.

Absolutely! Inform the UT Mail Services courier where the package needs to go, and we will use the least expensive carrier option available and provide you a confirmation number.

As a courtesy, UT Mail Services will deliver these packages along with other departmental packages. However, employees should have personal packages shipped to their home or other preferred location.
