Offset Printing

Offset printing is a method of mass-producing printing where images on metal plates are transferred to rubber blankets or rollers and then to the print media. This printing style is called offset because the ink is not transferred directly onto the paper.

Because offset presses run so efficiently once the printer is set up, offset printing is usually the best choice for high-volume print jobs. They provide accurate color reproduction and crisp, clean, professional-looking printing.

Examples of Offset Printing

  • Full-color (CMYK) and true Pantone (PMS) spot color
  • Stationery (letterhead, notecards, envelopes, etc.)
  • Marketing and promotional items (brochures, flyers, folders)
  • Magazines, annual reports, and books

Advantages of Offset Printing

  • High quality: Final projects haveĀ greater detail, sharp and clean images
  • Cost efficient: Offset is the most cost-effective when printing large quantities.
  • Flexibility: Ability to use a large variety of paper types, printing materials, and custom finishes
  • Specialized finishes: Special custom inks such as metallic and Pantone (PMS) spot colors are available
